By 5 p.m. Thursday, Flagstaff had surpassed it’s all-time daily snowfall record of 31 inches set in 1915.
What will likely be a storm seen “once in a decade” parked itself over the entire state of Arizona Thursday and will stay through Friday, dumping heavy snow and plenty of rain.
A winter storm warning is in effect above 3,000 feet until 5 p.m. Friday.
Coconino County and the City of Flagstaff both issued a State of Emergency Thursday due to the severe winter weather.
